Frequently Asked Questions...

What type of Q gets your goat the most?

Mine:

"i have 13 5week old puppys and they have dihriea is this normal it bin 2days?
i took them to the vet already 2 times and im a worried person i dont have alot of money for the vet to tell me its ok and spend a few hundret my be some one can share a little advice please i thank u so much"

chit like this makes my blood boil. into gaseous form, and come out my ears as red vapor.

I have learned to not be so hard on some of the peeps who come here asking for free magical medical solutions b/c they can't afford a vet. I appreciate that responsible people may have fallen on hard times, and may not have options - and the prospect of not being able to do right by your beloved pet and making the decision to give your pet up because of this must be heartbreaking.

But this is just pure irresponsible, wrong headed, oblivious, ignorant, FAIL.

Answer:

I ignore -

What should I name my puppy?

What color collar should I get for my dog?

ANY OBVIOUS MEDICAL EMERGENCY...and they are in here chatting about options.

Some other questions do spike my BP...so I just leave them alone. If I really think someone is 100% clueless and a complete NEWBIE to owning dogs I try to respond with something informational...but .. I think some of these people just like to see their posts on the page.

LOL @ FAIL... the FAIL Blog happens to be one of my favorite places to have my AM coffee and chuckles. Fail Blog - http://failblog.org/

Explaining the Blood Chit - North Africa

Blood chits were first issued to the pilots in India, China and Burma back in Korea during the war. Blood chits were sewn to jackets or kept in the pockets of airmen and as a safety measure.

It guaranteed a reward to the person who saved a downed aircraft and injured pilot. Any person who saved a soldier or pilot in war could take the blood chit they found to the authorities and claim their reward. Blood chits were being used from 1951 to 1958 and it was an interesting concept to save wounded pilots. The blood chits that were issued in the Korean War had languages like Korean, Persian, German, French, Swedish, Polish and Japanese and also English.

The United States had to use blood chits because of the mountainous regions of Korea made it impossible to fight the war using aircrafts and it was extremely dangerous for them. However, if pilots were wounded, there was no way they would find medical help and no one would care for an unknown person there. The blood chit had simple explanation and sentences that explained that the pilot was a citizen of the US and did not speak the local language. The chit also included a sentence saying that the person who found the pilot and the chit would be rewarded if he or she were to help the pilot. There have been incidents of rewards for people who helped the pilots. A person called Yu Ho Chin found a blood chit once in the pocket of a flyer whose plane was shot down and was rewarded $100,000 later.
